Description
Lynx TD15 stainless cal.308 Win.
LYNX is a Finnish manufacturer of hunting and precision rifles.
They are equipped with a linear cocking breech mechanism invented by Mr Torsti Laaksonen. This mechanism is particularly robust because it uses a strongly dimensioned transverse bolt which passes through the breech box. Cocking is very fast, like modern biathlon rifles.
The advantages of a linear system are the speed of implementation much higher than a conventional bolt action rifle but also the absence of constraint with respect to the size of a telescope and its positioning on the weapon (because the lever of cocking does not swing up).
In addition, the particularity of this cylinder head is that it consists of only 6 parts. The complete rifle has fewer parts than all its competitors, which is favorable to reliability.
The factory is located 200km north of Helsinki. Finland has a very harsh climate and this rifle was designed for use in that environment.
The action of the TD15 being independent of the stock, it is not affected by variations in temperature and humidity applied to it. Therefore, the point of impact does not change even after severe thermal shock. This very precise rifle can be used for sport shooting as well as for hunting.
