Patriot Ordnance Factory P-415 RENEGADE PLUS 10.5” DGI Conversion:
POF-USA (Patriot Ordnance Factory) is an American manufacturer based in Arizona. Its founder, Frank DeSomma is both a passionate sports shooter and a designer of parts for the aeronautics. Initially focused on the creation of an AR-15 equipped with a piston mechanism which has made the reputation of the brand for 15 years, POF-USA now offers in its range several models with direct gas borrowing.
Many innovations as well as unusual features for an AR-15 have been incorporated into this conversion to improve reliability and longevity. For example, the barrel chamber has 4 grooves to reduce the stresses suffered by the extractor, but these are only present at the level of the collar, unlike the usual grooved chambers, which does not affect the casings which can be easily reloaded. . These grooves allow the extractor to last 5 times longer (this improvement is not new in principle but it is unique in this form on an AR-15). The barrel nut, with its length of 76mm and its 20 longitudinal grooves, makes it possible to reduce the temperature at the level of the chamber.

Features:
– Semi-automatic conversion to direct throttle for AR-15 type rifle.
– Match barrel with 5 stripes, length 10.5” (26.6cm), in CrMoV 4150 steel protected from wear and corrosion by nitriding.
– 1/8” pitch barrel with standard 1/2”x28tpi thread.
– The rifling pitch of 1 turn in 8″ makes it possible to stabilize the MK262 or any other cartridge equipped with a 77 grain projectile as well as all other conventional cartridges with a lighter projectile.

– The carrier is coated with nickel with a high phosphorus content (corrosion resistance 5 times higher than standard nickel plating) and the cylinder head is hard chrome plated.
– Conveyor key machined in the mass of the conveyor with stainless steel tube reported by interlocking then pinned (which avoids the 2 usual fixing screws).
– Cam follower equipped with a rotating ring acting as a bearing (which greatly limits the stresses undergone by the cylinder head box at this location)
– The cam follower is hard chrome plated, and its rotating ring is NP3 (nickel-teflon) coated.
– Type III MilSpec anodizing on receiver and handguard.
– Ultra-lightweight (*) 14.5” POF Renegade floating handguard equipped with the M-LOK system (* 20% lighter than the previous generation).
– The handguard is equipped with 4 anchors for the ball strap attachment system (2 on each side).
– 76mm long POF barrel nut acts as a radiator to dissipate heat from the chamber (17 times more efficient than the original military barrel nut).
