The Windham Weaponry company was founded by Richard E. Dyke in 2011 at the location of Bushmaster, which he owned from 1976 to 2006 and which he agreed to sell to an investment fund to retire . This fund having decided to move Bushmaster from Maine to New York in 2011, leaving the employees out of work, Richard E. Dyke, despite his age, decided to found a new company so that his former team could resume service. Windham Weaponry is the legacy of the sum of their experiences.

- 20” barrel chambered in 5.56 NATO, CMV MilSpec steel (Mil-B-11595E) externally phosphated and internally chromed (1:7” pitch)
- The rifling pitch of 1 turn in 7” makes it possible to stabilize the MK262 or any other cartridge equipped with a 77 grain projectile as well as all other conventional cartridges with a lighter projectile.
- Frame and cylinder head box in 7075T6 aeronautical alloy machined from forged parts.
- Carpenter C-158 special steel cylinder head.
- The “lower” (the receiver) is compatible with AR15 conversions whose dimensions are MilSpec, likewise the “upper” (the barreled action) is compatible with all AR15 receivers whose dimensions are MilSpec.
- Barrel extension and breech box with M4 type feed ramps.
- Breech box with closing assistance pusher and ejection window door.
