Description
New in 2019
B&T USW-G17 frame-stock for Glock 17 and 19 Gen3/4/5 (and other models see below):
The concept of putting a stock on a handgun, to improve its practical accuracy, has been around for over a century. In recent years, various systems have appeared that can be adapted to modern pistols.
B&T ended up designing its own version under the name USW, derived from the principle of its USW-A1 pistol but adapted to more common weapons.
With an extraordinary finish, the set is made mainly of aeronautical aluminum and polymer.
For the first time when using this type of accessory, we did not notice any significant traces after assembly/disassembly on the frame of the weapon (no scratches, no marks, unlike other competing products ), which demonstrates the quality of this achievement (excellent geometry and absence of sharp edges on the contact areas).
A wheel at the front allows to tension the system which rests behind the beaver tail and at the front of the trigger guard. The advantage of this system is that the tension is done in the longitudinal axis and not by lateral compression, therefore the reliability of the weapon is not affected. The carcass rail is also used for support but the elastic tension is managed by the dimensions of the frame and not by user intervention.
The chassis is machined in the mass to accept the new Aimpoint ACRO P1 micro-sight, but it comes with a small Picatinny rail to attach another sight. This Picatinny rail is machined in such a way that it interfaces with the existing rail and uses its notch as an anti-recoil stop. As a result, the 2 mounting screws are subjected to very little stress.
Characteristics:
– Compatible with all Glock Gen3 to Gen5 equipped with a rail on the frame and in caliber 9mm/40SW/357SIG (not compatible with models in caliber 45 GAP, 45 ACP or 10mm Auto)
– Aircraft aluminum construction and polymer.
– Automatically forward folding cocking lever (this is reversible for left-handers).
– Mount machined in the mass compatible with the Aimpoint ACRO P-1.
– Comes with a Picatinny rail to attach another electronic sight (like the Aimpoint Micro T1/T2 for example)
– Once the Picatinny rail is mounted, it completely hides the integrated mount for the ACRO P-1.
– Picatinny rail under the chassis to put a lamp.
– Folding stock removable in seconds by removal of a quick pin which can be disengaged with the tip of a warhead or other improvised object such as a pen cap.
– Weight: 420g.
– Thickness: 61mm.
– Length: 271mm/516mm.
– Made in Switzerland.
Note: this set is available over the counter, however, considering the current regulations which do not provide for this scenario, it is advisable to mount the stock only at the shooting range and remove it for transport (duration of the operation less than 10 seconds). The weapon remains a handgun.
Usage and compatibility notes:
– The firing pin plate of the weapon must be replaced by the supplied plate which allows to receive the cocking lever.
– If the supplied Picatinny rail is used, it is necessary to glue the 2 Torx screws with weak thread lock.
– Extended disassembly levers for Glock frames, sold by other manufacturers, may interfere with assembly.
– A suppressor can be mounted on all models with a length equal to or greater than the Glock 17 (Glock 22/31/34/35 etc…) but not on those of the size of the Glock 19 (Glock 23, 32, etc.).
– Not compatible with Glock in 45 GAP (because of the specific width of the slide of this model).
– Not compatible with Glock in 45ACP and 10mm Auto (there is another model ref. BT-430220 for these 2 calibers).
– Of the 4 backsplashes delivered with the Glock Gen4 and Gen5, only the 2 without a beaver tail are compatible with this chassis (however, the chassis itself eliminates the need for a beaver tail because it ensures this function).
