Rifle CMMG ENDEAVOR Mk3, 6.5 Creedmoor – 20”:

CMMG is an American manufacturer, based in Missouri, specializing in the design of conversions and innovative rifles based on the AR-15 and AR-10. It is particularly renowned for its models chambered in unconventional calibers as well as for its revolutionary technical improvements (see the GUARD and MUTANT models).

The Mk3 is CMMG’s AR-10 type carbine. This version is chambered in 6.5 Creedmoor caliber, a caliber developed for long-range shooting and which benefits from the excellent ballistic coefficient of 6.5 caliber projectiles (.264″ or 6.7mm real). This cartridge has the advantage of being usable in an AR-10 sized semi-automatic weapon or in a short action bolt action rifle.The other advantage is the intrinsic accuracy of manufactured ammunition of this caliber which rivals other very good reloads which allows shooters who do not reload to benefit from a precision rarely encountered with manufactured cartridges.It is not uncommon to hold 1/3 MOA with manufactured ammunition of this caliber. The ammunition is particularly suitable for long-range shooting because the projectile remains supersonic beyond 1200 meters. These are the main reasons for the immense success of this caliber in the USA.

The barrel of this model is a stainless steel Match barrel.

Notes on the 6.5 Creedmoor caliber:
– same base as a 308 Win. therefore compatible with cylinder heads designed for this caliber.
– Lapua cases use a Small Rifle primer (like the 223 Rem.) instead of a Large Rifle as is usually the case with this ammunition template (advantage: greater regularity of ignition, it is moreover why the Lapua Palma Match casings in 308 Win. and those of the 6.5×47 Lapua are also in Small Rifle (in the past, these casings were the exception, now the 6.5 Creedmoor also benefits from this advantage).
– uses less powder than the 260 Rem at the same velocity (case optimization for VLD and ELD projectiles).
