Notes:
Some of the compensators in this section are also sometimes used as flash hiders. Others are designed to limit the lateral shock wave generated by this type of accessory. This information will generally be in the description of our sheets.
It should be borne in mind that no device can perform all three functions at the same time perfectly. An excellent compensator will often be a poor flash hider and vice versa. Nevertheless, some models offer very correct results in all three areas.
Some also offer compatibility with certain sound moderators.
A TSV shooter will generally seek the best result in terms of recoil and bearing with the greatest possible stability of his weapon, but at the cost of a significant shock wave for anyone laterally nearby. On the contrary, a recreational shooter or a professional user will more logically turn to a less effective model but generating a weak lateral shock wave so as not to affect other shooters / operators nearby and, possibly, to a model also having a capacity high flash hider.
Each device will therefore meet a particular requirement, which explains the choice proposed.
