BCM (Bravo Compagny Mfg) is an American manufacturer well known for the reliability and longevity of its rifles. These are used by many specialized units in the United States. All of the component parts are made without compromise using materials and manufacturing techniques usually rejected by other manufacturers for cost reasons, and benefit from exceptional quality control (example: barrel and breech checked by magnetic particle inspection, etc. …). Moreover, unlike the majority of AR-15 manufacturers, BCM itself manufactures the improved accessories present on its weapons (enlarged cocking lever, telescopic stock, pistol grip, etc…).
Main features:
– Semi-automatic AR-15 type conversion with direct throttle.
– 11.5″ ELW (ultralight) barrel in CMV steel according to Mil-B-11595E standard, certified by an independent body. –
1/7″ pitch barrel, chromed inside and fully phosphated inside outside.
– Barrel controlled by circular and longitudinal magnetic particle inspection according to the Mil-Spec ASTME1444-01 standard.
– BCM MOD0 compensator (standard thread 1/2″x28tpi).
– Cylinder head box in aeronautical alloy 7075T6 machined from a forged part.
– Compatible with all AR15 receivers whose dimensions are MilSpec.
– The extension barrel and breech box feature M4 type feed ramps.
– Mil-Spec Carpenter 158 type steel receiver.
– MilSpec MIL-A-8625F, Type III, Class 2 anodizing on receiver and handguard.
– Ultra-light BCM KMR-Alpha 10″ floating handguard equipped with the KeyMod system.
– Delivered with a small Picatinny/Keymod rail.
– Delivered without sights.
– Caliber: 5.56×45 (223 Rem.)
– Chambering: 5.56 x45 NATO.
– Having been unable to obtain all the BCM parts, this version comes with an XBR bolt/carrier assembly and an ambidextrous AXTS/Radian RAPTOR cocking lever.
(the XBR slide is the one we use on our TSV competition guns and the RAPTOR is a reference in its field.)
– classified in category B5.
NOTES regarding conversions:
The AR-15, from its inception, is a weapon that disassembles into 2 parts in seconds. Conversions (upper parts) allow you to quickly change configuration with a different barrel length from the initial weapon and/or a different sighting system, or even a different caliber like the 300 AAC Blackout. A conversion cannot be used alone, it therefore requires a prefectural authorization of category B5 which is not counted in the quota of weapons authorizations.
