Description
GEISSELE mount for Aimpoint Micro T-1/T-2/M5, Absolute Co-Witness version (**)
This assembly has the particularity of being machined from a block of aeronautical alloy type 7075T6 (same alloy as an M4/M16 MilSpec carcass) which gives it twice the resistance of most assemblies. competitors.
The mounting on the Picatinny rail is ensured by 1 hex nut of 1/2” (12.7mm) which may seem very conventional. This is not the case because the geometry of the assembly and the clamping system have been redesigned to be able to ensure a return to zero after disassembly and reassembly WITHOUT HAVING USE of a dynamometric wrench. Tightening by hand followed by a 1/4 turn with a normal wrench is enough to recover the same zeroing (in practice the return to zero is often perfect, and at worst less than 1/2 MOA). The clamping force following these instructions is approximately 600kg or 2 to 3 times the clamping obtained with most lever assemblies. The assembly includes 3 anti-recoil lugs sized with a minimum of play with respect to the notches of
This system is identical to that of the Geissele bezel assembly which was adopted in the SOPMOD program.
- For AR-15 and AR-10 fitted with an A3 or A4 receiver (with Picatinny rails).
- Machined from a block of aircraft type 7075T6 alloy (same alloy as an M4/M16 MilSpec frame).
- Type III anodization, black.
- Supplied with 4 screws to secure the Aimpoint to the assembly.
- Compatible with Aimpoint Micro T-1 and T-2 sights, but also with all sights using the same mounting profile as these (refer to sight specifications).
- (*) Lower 1/3 Co-Witness version = if backup sights are used through the sight, the line of sight of these will be approximately 1/3 the diameter of the sight lens, so lower than the optical axis of the viewfinder.
- (**) Absolute Co-Witness version = if spare sights are used through the sight, the line of sight of these will be approximately at the optical axis of the sight.
- Made in USA .
Note: to secure the viewfinder, it is necessary to use the 4 screws delivered with the Geissele assembly and glue them with a weak threadlocker. Do not reuse original Aimpoint screws.
BGM is the official importer of the Geissele brand.
