POF-USA (Patriot Ordnance Factory) is an American manufacturer based in Arizona. Its founder, Frank DeSomma is both a passionate sports shooter and a designer of parts for the aeronautics. Initially focused on the creation of an AR-15 equipped with a piston mechanism which has made the reputation of the brand for 15 years, POF-USA now offers in its range several models with direct gas borrowing.

Many innovations as well as unusual features for an AR-15 have been incorporated into this weapon to improve reliability and longevity. For example, the barrel chamber has 4 grooves to reduce the stresses suffered by the extractor, but these are only present at the level of the collar, unlike the usual grooved chambers, which means that the casings which can be easily reloaded are not affected. .
