RITTER & STARK SX-1 MTR (Modular Tactical Rifle) sniper rifle – Cerakote BROWN finish

The Austrian company RITTER & STARK has developed a long-range rifle with several features, some of which are unique to date.
For example, the barrel is rifled on a numerically controlled machine designed for electrochemical machining (a process similar to electro-erosion but without tool wear).
The use of this technology allows a surface finish and an exceptional geometry, and also allows the use of a steel of a higher hardness ensuring a long life without loss of precision.
The weapon has interchangeable barrels, each of them having its own Picatinny base which makes it possible to have pre-adjusted barrel/scope sub-assemblies and therefore to have a rifle immediately operational after a change of barrel.

Main Features :

  • Manual repeating shotgun with interchangeable floating barrels (1 single barrel delivered, for conversion kits see below).
  • 27″ (685mm) fluted barrel, rifled by an electrochemical process (the ECM process makes it possible to use a steel with a higher hardness than that of barrels rifled by other processes).
  • The ECM machining process is neutral: it does not generate any tension on the barrel, which is favorable to precision.
  • No scratches: 1 turn in 10″ (338 LM version).
  • The Picatinny rail is mounted directly on the barrel, which makes it possible to change a barrel with its preset scope.
  • The breech locks directly into the barrel, with no intermediate piece (the locking mortises are machined directly into the barrel).
  • Quickly interchangeable bolt head when changing caliber.
  • The guns have an accuracy of less than half a minute of angle (< 1/2 MOA).
  • Thanks to the new manufacturing process, the life of the barrels WITHOUT LOSS OF PRECISION is more than 5000 shots in 308 Win. and 338 Lapua Mag (over 2000 hits in 300 Win.Mag.)
  • Ritter & Stark compensator fixed on an 18×1 thread (This thread is standard to accept a sound suppressor).
  • Case this cylinder head in anodized aeronautical alloy, with a very large clamping surface on the barrel.
  • 16″ octagonal handguard, in aeronautical alloy, quickly removable.
  • The handguard has a Picatinny rail on the top and it is M-LOK standard on the other sides for attaching accessories.
  • Adjustable match trigger.
  • The weapon also accepts match triggers compatible with the Remington 700.
  • 3-position safety (ready to fire, breech and trigger locked, trigger alone locked to eject a cartridge safely)
  • Folding and adjustable stock with lower Picatinny rail to accept a monopod (monopod optional).
  • The stock can be mounted so that it can fold up on the left side or the right side of the weapon.
  • Butt plate adjustable in length, cheek piece adjustable in height and inclination.
  • The original stock tube is threaded to the AR-15 standard, which allows a light and minimalist stock to be adapted if necessary, with a very large choice.
  • Compatible with pistol grips for AR-15.
  • Modular, detachable magazine well available for several types of magazines, including those of the SR-25 (308 Win.) or the AICS (338 LM).
  • Colours: brown (ceramic paint finish Cerakote)
  • Length: 1291mm (with 27″ barrel)
  • Collapsed stock length: 1041mm (with a 27″ barrel)
  • Weight: 6.3 Kg (5.9 Kg for the 308WIN version)
  • Comes in a standard case with a 10 round magazine.
  • Made in Austria.
  • Classified in category C.
  • Non-contractual photos, the scope and its mounting as well as the additional barrels are optional.
