Rotex V for caliber 308 Win. and 300 AAC BLACKOUT
This moderator can be mounted in seconds on any rifle equipped with an A1 or A2 flash hider thanks to a quick-locking system (does not loosen when firing).
It is required that the rifle be fitted with a flash hider that meets the dimensions of an A2 MilSpec flash hider, particularly at the rearmost locking throat. If not, then B&T offers this type of flash hider in 5/8″x24 (ref.: SD-12829) which is the most common thread for AR-15s in 300 AAC BLACKOUT or AR-10 in 308.
This moderator can also be mounted on an AR-15 in 223 Rem: it will be less efficient than the model dedicated to this caliber but will still be very efficient and avoids the acquisition of a 2nd moderator.
The locking system is in Thermax protected by nitriding.
The body and valves of the Rotex V are made of Inconel #625 (super-alloy with 58% nickel and 23% chromium used in nuclear submarines).
The advantage of this alloy is to save 200g in weight, 3cm in length, and 2dB of additional attenuation (compared to the previous generation from B&T).
It is totally stainless and extremely strong, capable of withstanding a band of 1000 cartridges in full-auto on a Minimi.
