The Windham Weaponry company was founded by Richard E. Dyke in 2011 at the location of Bushmaster, which he owned from 1976 to 2006 and which he agreed to sell to an investment fund to retire . This fund having decided to move Bushmaster from Maine to New York in 2011, leaving the employees out of work, Richard E. Dyke, despite his age, decided to found a new company so that his former team could resume service. Windham Weaponry is the legacy of the sum of their experiences.

• Frame and cylinder head box in 7075T6 aeronautical alloy machined from forged parts.
• Carpenter C-158 special steel cylinder head.
• Breech box with closing assistance pusher and ejection window door.
• 15” floating handguard with picatinny top rail and KeyMod system.
• This very long handguard (15”) allows all grips, including the outstretched arm at the end of the handguard.
• MilSpec Type III anodizing on frame, receiver, and forearm.
• 7 ball quick release strap attachment points.
• Bridge machined in the mass of the carcass.
• Standard barrel thread 5/8”x24Tpi (the most common for a .308 in the USA).
