The Windham Weaponry company was founded by Richard E. Dyke in 2011 at the location of Bushmaster, which he owned from 1976 to 2006 and which he agreed to sell to an investment fund to retire . This fund having decided to move Bushmaster from Maine to New York in 2011, leaving the employees out of work, Richard E. Dyke, despite his age, decided to found a new company so that his former team could resume service. Windham Weaponry is the legacy of the sum of their experiences.

Main characteristics:
– Semi-automatic rifle with direct gas borrowing.
– 9″ barrel (1:7 pitch) chambered in 300 AAC BLACKOUT, in MilSpec CMV steel (Mil-B-11595E) protected by double nitriding (Melonite QPQ) giving it very high wear resistance and corrosion.

– The rifling pitch of 1 turn in 7″ stabilizes subsonic projectiles from 208 to 240 grains and all lighter supersonic projectiles.
– Carcass and cylinder head box in 7075T6 aeronautical alloy machined from forged parts.
– Carpenter C-158 special steel cylinder head.
– The “lower” (the receiver) is compatible with AR15 conversions whose dimensions are MilSpec, and the “upper” (the barreled action) is compatible with all AR15 receivers whose dimensions are MilSpec.
– Barrel extension and breech box including M4 type feed ramps.
– Breech box with closing assistance pusher and ejection window door.
– Windham Weaponry 7″ floating handguard with picatinny top rail and M-LOK system on the sides and bottom. –
This handguard, with a very small diameter, offers excellent grip.
– MilSpec anodization of type III on the frame, receiver, and handguard.
– 1 ball quick release strap attachment point on each side of the stock.
