Description
ZEV pistol model OZ9 caliber 9×19:
The ZEV OZ9 is the first pistol entirely made by ZEV Technologies, unlike its previous models which are customs built around a Glock carcass. The frame of the OZ9 is very different, consisting of a modular stainless steel frame, and a handle that is quickly removable by removing a single pin.
The handle not being regulated, there is no administrative constraint to make evolve the ergonomics of the weapon. For now, there are handles in another color but in the future ZEV will offer different sizes and different surface textures. The price of these handles is very affordable.
Initially, ZEV Technologies was an American manufacturer specializing in match-grade parts to improve Glock pistols. ZEV also manufactures complete pistols from Glock receivers combined with their own match-quality bolts, barrels and other parts. These custom pistols have an extraordinary level of preparation and finish.
ZEV already manufactures the majority of the component parts of a pistol, including two of the three major parts which are the breech and the barrel, it was natural that this company decided to make its own pistol. This one was tested and modified for 3 years before being marketed, and it is based on 12 years of experience in manufacturing match parts for the Glock pistol.
The grip slope is very close to the Colt 1911, and the weapon accepts Glock magazines, so shooters who prefer this grip angle will benefit from this ergonomics but with the legendary reliability of Glock magazines.
The OZ9 is compatible with part of the ZEV parts planned for the Glock 17 as well as with certain original parts of this weapon.
